Frequently Asked
Questions

Everything you need to know about the vSeeBox V6 Plus — before you order, once it's plugged in, and if you ever need us.

CH 01–03 · General
01
What exactly is the vSeeBox V6 Plus?
+
It's a 2025-flagship Android 14 streaming media player built for 8K HDR home entertainment. Under the hood it runs an Amlogic S905Y5 quad-core chip with a Mali-G31MP2 GPU, and it outputs up to 8K@60fps over HDMI 2.1. Think of it as a single box that replaces a smart TV's internal streaming hardware with something faster, more current, and easier to keep updated.
02
What's included in the box?
+
The V6 Plus unit itself, an HDMI cable, a power adapter, and the redesigned Bluetooth + infrared remote with backlight (runs on 2 AAA batteries, not included with most units — worth checking when it arrives). No extra accessories to buy to get started.
03
Do I need any subscriptions to use it?
+
The V6 Plus itself is a one-time purchase — no monthly device fee. It's fully compatible with the Android app ecosystem, so you install and sign into the streaming services you already pay for (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, YouTube, and others) directly from the Google Play Store, same as any Android TV device.
CH 04–08 · Setup & Compatibility
04
How long does setup actually take?
+
Under 5 minutes for most people. Plug the HDMI cable into your TV, connect power, switch your TV to the right HDMI input, and the V6 Plus boots straight to its Android home screen. From there it's just connecting to Wi-Fi or Ethernet and you're streaming.
05
What do I need to get it running?
+
Just a TV or monitor with an open HDMI port and a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. For smooth 4K/8K streaming without buffering, we recommend at least 15 Mbps — and a wired Ethernet connection over Wi-Fi if your household has a lot of devices competing for bandwidth.
06
Wi-Fi or Ethernet — does it matter?
+
Both work well. The V6 Plus has dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz), which is excellent for most homes, plus a dedicated RJ45 Ethernet port. If you're streaming in 8K or have a lot of other devices on your network, a wired connection gives you the most consistent, buffer-free result.
07
Can I control it with my TV remote?
+
In many cases, yes — the V6 Plus supports HDMI-CEC, which lets compatible TV remotes control basic functions like power and volume alongside the included vSeeBox remote. It also comes with its own backlit Bluetooth + infrared remote with built-in voice search, so you're never stuck without control either way.
08
Can I mirror my phone or laptop to it?
+
Yes. Miracast, DLNA, and AirPlay are all built in, so you can mirror an iPhone, Android phone, iPad, or laptop to your TV without installing any extra apps.
CH 09–13 · Specs & Performance
09
What resolution and HDR does it support?
+
Full 8K@60fps output over HDMI 2.1, with hardware-accelerated 10-bit HDR decoding across AV1, VP9, H.264, and H.265 formats. Whatever resolution your content and TV support, the V6 Plus is built to handle it without strain.
10
What are the full specs?
+
Amlogic S905Y5 quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 CPU, Mali-G31MP2 GPU, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 64GB eMMC storage, Android 14, Wi-Fi 6 (dual-band 802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.0, Widevine L1 DRM certification, and an 8W max power draw via 5V/2A DC input.
11
Can I expand the storage?
+
Yes — the V6 Plus supports external USB storage up to 2TB in FAT32 or NTFS format, on top of the 64GB built in. Handy if you download a lot of content locally or run storage-heavy apps.
12
Will it play Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video in full quality?
+
Yes. The V6 Plus is Widevine Level 1 certified, which is the DRM standard required for full HD and 4K playback on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and other major platforms. Devices without L1 certification are capped at lower streaming quality on these services — this is one of the most important specs to check on any streaming box.
13
Does it get software updates?
+
Yes, free OTA (over-the-air) firmware updates are included, so the device stays current with app compatibility, performance improvements, and security patches without you doing anything manually.
CH 14–17 · Ordering & Authorization
14
Why buy from VseeVault instead of another seller?
+
VseeVault is a verified authorized distributor of vSeeBox products, certified directly by vSee Media Technology Co., Ltd. through January 24, 2027. That means every unit we sell is genuine, ships with original firmware, and is backed by the full manufacturer warranty. Grey-market sellers often offer suspiciously low prices on units that turn out to be used, counterfeit, or region-locked — and vSee Media will not honor warranty claims on anything purchased outside the authorized network.
15
How do I verify VseeVault is actually authorized?
+
Anytime, at vseebox.com/verification, using authorization code VAD250125. We'd rather you check than take our word for it.
16
How much is it, and what's the shipping time?
+
$389.00, with free shipping and a 1–3 business day dispatch window. That price includes the unit, remote, cables, the full 1-year manufacturer warranty, and a 30-day return window.
17
Do you ship outside Florida?
+
Yes — VseeVault is a verified authorized distributor serving Florida and the rest of the United States, not a Florida-only seller.
CH 18–21 · Warranty & Support
18
What's covered under warranty?
+
A full 1-year manufacturer warranty with unlimited service coverage, plus direct access to official vSeeBox technical support — because your purchase came through an authorized channel.
19
What if I want to return it?
+
You have 30 days to decide it's not for you, no questions asked.
20
My Wi-Fi shows "remembered" but won't connect — what's wrong?
+
That message almost always means the Wi-Fi password was entered incorrectly. Go back into Settings → Network & Internet, forget the network, and re-enter the password carefully — that resolves it in the large majority of cases.
21
How do I factory reset the device?
+
From the home screen: go to Settings → Device Preferences → Reset → Erase Everything. This clears all data and cached apps — you'll need to reinstall your apps afterward, but it's the fastest fix for most persistent software issues.
A note on unauthorized resellers

Grey-market vSeeBox units are sold online at prices that seem too good to pass up. The catch: no warranty, no manufacturer support, and sometimes locked or outdated firmware that can't receive updates. A lower price from an unverified seller isn't a deal — it's a gamble. Buying through an authorized distributor is how you know exactly what you're getting.
